The president of the PSD on Wednesday called on the Government to extend to the whole country the minimum services to mitigate the effects of the strike of the distribution of fuels, considering that "the Portuguese must be treated equally".
"I make a direct appeal to the Government so that the minimum services to be applied to the strike in the distribution of fuels spread rapidly throughout the national territory. It does not make sense that they are restricted to Lisbon and Porto. The Portuguese have to be treated equally, "writes Rui Rio in a message posted on the social network Twitter.

The strike of drivers of dangerous goods, which began at 00:00 on Monday, was called by the National Union of Dangerous Goods Drivers (SNMMP) for an indefinite period to claim recognition of the specific professional category.
On Tuesday, alleging non-compliance with the minimum services decreed, the Government proceeded with the civil requisition, stating that by Thursday the workers to request must correspond "to those who have made available to ensure functions in minimum services and, in their absence or insufficiency, those on the service scale ".
At the end of Tuesday afternoon, the government declared the "alert situation" due to the strike, advancing with exceptional measures to secure supplies and, at an overnight meeting with the National Association of Public Freight Carriers (ANTRAM) and the National Union of Drivers of Dangerous Matters, the minimum services were defined.
The strike of drivers of dangerous goods takes place indefinitely.
