Rui Águas, Cape Verde national team player, believes that Zé Luís fits into FC Porto's profile. The Cape Verdean international has been singled out by the Portuguese sports press as a possible reinforcement of the 'blues and whites', and the club has already submitted a proposal of 10 million euros to Spartak Moscow.
In an interview with Antena 1 radio station, Rui Águas said that Ze Luís is a "psychologically strong player", which he said was "very important" for a team that was built to win titles.
"He was a champion in Russia and in the title-winning clubs, the requirement is permanent, but I think his track gives continuity guarantee with success," he said.
"He is perfectly at the level of FC Porto, very complete, very available physically, with good frontal support and although left-handed is a player whose right leg works," he said.
Rui Águias also indicated that, after the request for exemption to focus more on the club, Ze Luis is ready to return to the national team.
"Zé Luis thought it good to take a break, given his time at the club, he asked not to be called, so in this regard we are still in an undefined phase," he clarified.
Throughout 2018/19, Zé Luís scored 14 goals in 36 games for Spartak Moscow and was one of the team's greatest figures.
Born from the island of Fogo, the player in Cape Verde represented the local Académica, he has 17 internationals and two goals. He was the author of the first official goal at the National Stadium.
