Assassin's Creed is on sabbatical. After Origins and Odyssey, which took players to know the different eras of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, Ubisoft chose this year to dynamize the saga with a remastered version of the old Assassin's Creed III. By 2020, however, the studio is expected to re-launch a new game. And given the variety of environments in which these have been unfolding, the question is what scenario will serve as the basis for the next adventure of the saga. The answer is still not official, but an Easter egg in The Division 2 may have helped resolve the issue.
According to Kotaku, the article that may be trying to tell us something about the next Assassin's Creed, it is a poster, where a Nordic figure comes up, with the word Valhalla leading the image. This would not be enough by itself, but it is the presence of an object that left the community of players with the "flea behind the ear": in the hand of the character is the so-called Apple of Eden, a piece of technology core to the narrative of Assassins Creed.
The Kotaku corroborates the thesis. The portal also says that this idea has already been confirmed by two independent sources, close to the development of this next title. At this point, the game is being created based on the code name "Kingdom".
Note that none of this information has been confirmed by Ubisoft, so we will have to wait for the official announcement of the game.
