In an anticipation of The Daily Beast's podcast "The Last Laugh," Sacha Baron Cohen said that Pamela Anderson was the only public personality who was inside the joke of the movie ("otherwise it would be abduction") and the scene was rehearsed and repeated twice times because the fans did not react in the first event.
He then made the most revelation: he praised Pamela Anderson's courage for having suffered a jaw injury during filming and lost her husband.
"Kid Rock saw the movie and texted Pamela Anderson and asked, 'How did it go? What did he think?' and she said, 'He's going to get a divorce,' "she recalled. When Cohen asked the reason, the answer was "Because of the movie."
"I thought it was a joke, but a few weeks later they divorced and put the reason for the 'Borat' divorce, so there were some victims," he added.
The film debuted on November 3, 2006, and the official divorce date was November 27. The marriage did not reach four months.
