Sandra Semedo which represents the Association of Cerebral Palsy of Coimbra (APCC), today won the second gold medal in the 400-meter race of the RR2 class of the International Tricity Cup, which takes place in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
"The athlete was the first to cut the goal, having made the time of 01.39.75 and beat clearly the opposition of the opponents," reads the note sent today by the association to Diário as Beiras.
This is the seventh medal achieved by the APCC athlete in this competition. Sandra Semedo adds five gold and two silver medals in what is considered the largest international competition of the sport.
The tricycle of the APCC that reached yesterday also the 4th. place in the race of 100 meters, participates tomorrow in the tests of 5000 meters.
The International Triathlon Cup is the competitive event of the International RaceRunning Development Camp & Cup, which runs from 7 to 14 July and brings together about 250 participants for a week of races, joint training, coaching and social activities.
Portugal is also represented by Alírio Almeida, André Pinto and João Lomar.
The tricycle is a mixed sport, practiced in athletics tracks and with three classes of competition, in which the athletes run with their feet, in a equipment with three wheels and three supports.
