The municipality of São Brás de Alportel has announced an investment of over 79 thousand euros in works to improve and rehabilitate pavements in roads and municipal roads.
Interventions include tracing re-profiling, tout-venant reinforcement, cleaning, trench maintenance and bitumen application.
The works, awarded to Eduardo Pinto Viegas, Lda. For a total value of 79,672.33 euros, are being carried out in several places in the municipality, namely: Treasurer, Barracha, Campina, Funchais, Mosque, Corotelo, Vilarinhos, Soalheira, Alportel and Mealhas, among others.
The municipality intends to guarantee the good state of conservation of the municipal roads and the safety of those who circulate in them. “This is a continuous work to be done every year, so that we will continue to be among the municipalities of the Algarve with less road accidents,” said Councilor Acácio Martins, responsible for the Municipal Road Network and Mobility and Accessibility areas. .
“The roads are the first image that the municipalities give their visitors. The sum of the good state of the municipal roads to the areas of education, sport, economic development, tourism and culture make the municipality more attractive to tourists as well as to residents and potential new residents ”, stressed the Mayor of São Brás de Alportel, Vitor Guerreiro.
