The municipality of São Brás de Alportel is carrying out maintenance work on horizontal signage, namely the painting of walkways, an investment estimated at around 7 thousand euros.
These works, integrated in the São Brás de Alportel General Signaling and Signaling Plan, are carried out annually, always after the summer, including the painting of crosswalks, longitudinal lines and intersections.
“It is during this time that their durability and maintenance becomes most efficient and also to ensure that at the beginning of the school year the crosswalks and crossings are properly marked, visible and safer for pedestrians,” says the municipality.
This year, the horizontal signaling contract was awarded to the company Sinalvias-Sinalização Rodoviária, Lda. For approximately 7 thousand euros.
“Ensuring the safety conditions of drivers and pedestrians using the county's communication roads, especially at a time when the first rains are expected to increase the risk of incidents,” is the objective of this municipal investment, which adds to All the preventive actions carried out in terms of accessibility and mobility in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, “which is among the least sinister municipalities in the Algarve”, highlights the municipality led by Vítor Guerreiro.
