The municipality of São Brás de Alportel implemented, in January, a digital management platform to facilitate the school meal payment process for all pre-school and primary school students.
By the end of 2019, the process involved traveling to municipal services to pre-purchase paper meal passwords and prepay pre-school hours.
The digital platform now enables carers to access their students' data via computer and other mobile electronic devices with Internet access, track their attendance at meal service, check billing history and menus. In the future you will be able to make other services available to parents and students.
In practice, the platform will issue the billing related to student consumption of the previous month, which is sent electronically (sms and / or email), and will allow payment by ATM or homebanking, while still maintaining the possibility of payment be made at the municipal treasury.
In December, the municipality promoted a wide dissemination of the measure and held two debriefing sessions for parents.
