The municipality of São Brás de Alportel announced today that it had a set of maintenance work in progress in the municipality's school park during the Christmas school break.
The works were carried out by the technical services of the municipality, in collaboration with the José Belchior Viegas School Group, aiming to “provide the best teaching and working conditions to students and professionals who frequent these spaces”.
At the Basic School EB 2.3 Poet Bernardo de Passos, accessibility for all and the drainage of surface water were improved.
In other schools, pavement repair work was also carried out, the exterior spaces were fixed, trees were cut and pruned and the green spaces were treated intensively.
Using school breaks for the school park maintenance plan is, moreover, “usual practice” highlighted by the municipality, in a statement, “so as not to cause disturbance in regular school activity”.
“All these actions planned in a phased and rigorous manner are, whenever possible, accompanied by available financing processes”, points out the executive about the “continuous improvements” in the school park.
