Seferovic finished the season as the top scorer in the Portuguese league (23 goals), ahead of Bruno Fernandes (20) and Rafa (17), after a 'shady' start to the season. In an interview with the newspaper A Bola, the Swiss striker says he does not hold Rui Vitória's grudges, but notes that it was Bruno Lage who gave him the confidence he needed.
"A coach [referindo-se a Rui Vitória] must be honest with the players, tell them whether they will have space or not. It was good for me to know that, life is like that, "said the Swiss international, revealing what Bruno Lage told him when he took over.
"He always said to me, 'Never stop running, never stop running, you get there, and that's how it was,' he said.
Seferovic also confessed that Jonas's injury helped him gain space within the team. "The truth is that I was lucky because Jonas was in physical trouble and things were not going well for Ferreyra and Castillo. I was there, I played a good game and I thought, 'Now is my chance.'" And I grabbed her ".
The Swiss striker says he was impressed with the title match at the Marquis.
"It's something incredible, I've never seen anything like it in my life, I hope I can live it for more years," said Seferovic, who says he has not spoken to Bruno Fernandes about the title fight for the championship's best scorer.
"Not [falei], was only focused on our team, in our objective, now is that we will see who will pay [o jantar]"he replied playfully.
