The 700 children who attend public preschool in the municipality of Olhão already have at their disposal a variety of musical instruments that they can use in the musical education classes in which they participate.
The deliveries, by the councilman with the Education department, António Camacho, took place in recent days in all kindergartens of the county, in an initiative of the local authority.
The 27 preschool halls received 135 maracas, 135 wooden clubs, 135 hand cranks, 90 recoos, 90 ferrinhos, 54 cymbals, 90 tambourines, 90 tambourines and 90 tambourines, in addition to nine complementing radios. teaching music to children, in an investment of around 10,000 euros.
Music teachers are also paid by the local authority through a service contract signed with the Olhão Conservatory of Music three years ago and which includes one music class per week in all the preschool halls of the municipality.
“This was an investment we made with great pleasure. It is a bet on the development of skills related to art. The music arouses very important sensations. This preschool music education project is one that has given us the most pleasure to develop, ”Councilman António Camacho assumed.
