Shopping centers and larger stores will be able to reopen to the public from April 19, according to the plan of gradual deflation that the Prime Minister, António Costa, presented today.
The deconfination plan approved today by the Council of Ministers includes four phases of gradual reopening of activities, with the opening of shopping centers scheduled for the third, which begins on April 19.
On that date, they will also be able to open to the public all larger stores regardless of whether they have a door to the street or whether they are integrated into commercial complexes.
Before, on March 15, street stores of non-essential goods opened, with sales limited to the wicket, and on April 5, stores up to 200 square meters with doors to the street can start receiving customers.
The implementation of the plan will depend on the evolution of the pandemic, namely the number of new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants registered in the previous 14 days and the number of contagions.
