The 8th Interactive Quality and Excellence Show "Yoga Algarve", promoted by the Regional Yoga Association of Algarve (ARYAL) and held on October 12 and 13, in the Algarve's capital, brought together around a hundred visitors.
The event, which had conferences and workshops on the most diverse topics and a yoga class for managers, was held at the Penha campus of the University of Algarve, in Faro.
The initiative aims to identify private companies that work with excellence and quality public companies, fostering the relationship between leaders to create synergies and cooperation between the various entities.
The event also intends that yoga can be known by both leaders and workers, promoting "personal health, creativity, joy at work, cooperation, relaxation and intellectual stimulation, reducing absenteeism."
The 8th Interactive Exhibition of Quality and Excellence "Yoga Algarve" addressed several themes, among them "Mánasika in the Business Context"; «Good Practices in Work Context – The Art Therapy»; "Integrated Food Education in the Current School – Experience of the Nutrition Service of the UFF"; «Aging and Prevention of Fall Risk Factors»; and «Gluten Free Food – Doubts and Myths and Organizational Happiness».
A yoga teacher's class was also given by ARYAL, in which participants could "experience the benefits of this ancient practice and understand how it can be applied in a business context."
At both opening and closing sessions, advanced yoga demonstrations were held by the Pashupati Regional Delegation (Advanced Asana Group) in the Algarve, accompanied by the Omkára Regional Delegation (Coral Group).
The exhibition was supported by the Portuguese Yoga Confederation, which has about 50 centers throughout the country, four of which in the Algarve (Faro, Tavira, Lagos and Albufeira).
