Goodbye Michonne: The Walking Dead's tenth season will be the last with Danai Gurira
Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on "The Walking Dead", will leave the series after the tenth season, AMC announced in February.
The American actress is expected to participate in a few episodes, but then will abandon the television saga. However, you can join Andrew Lincoln in the series-inspired films, production spin-offs.
In November last year, AMC programming president David Madden said the channel wanted Gurira on the show, but that the story could go on without it.
"Right now she has a lot of opportunities and needs to decide what's best for her. But of course we want her on the show while she wants to stay. We want her to stay, it's an incredibly valuable character. Obviously, the lesson we learned from Andy [Andrew Lincoln, intérprete de Rick Grimes] is that the show can survive any way out, but that's not our goal, "Madden pointed out.
In addition to Gurira and Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Lennie James, and Austin Amelio have all abandoned the show in recent years.
The actress joined the cast of "The Walking Dead" in the third season of the series but last year became even more popular through General Okoye, the "Black Panther" character who reappeared in "Avengers: Infinity War."
"The Walking Dead" is broadcast in Portugal by FOX.
