Sintra rises a place in the ranking of business. It is now in 6th position - The Economic Journal

The municipality of Sintra has moved up a place in the business area in Portugal, reveals data from the sixth edition of the Portugal City Brand Ranking, released this week. The county now occupies the 6th place at national level, having started five years ago in the 11th place of the table.

Regarding the Lisbon region, Sintra rises to the 2nd place in the category of living, surpassing Cascais, compared to last year. The municipality maintains the 3rd place in the general regional ranking. In the business and visiting category occupies also the 3rd position.

The Portugal City Brand Ranking also distinguishes the municipality of Sintra as the most sought after national level in terms of historical heritage.

The municipality also recalls that the municipality of Sintra has been able to improve its performance in the Portugal City Brand Ranking since the first edition in 2014, starting five years ago in 11th place in the table.

The ranking consists of measuring the results and brand impact of all 308 Portuguese municipalities in the areas of Tourism (Visiting), Investment and Exports (Business) and Talent (Living). The ranking measures the performance and impact of the brand of each municipality.

According to the promoters of the study Bloom Consulting Portugal City Brand Ranking measures the performance of the brand of each municipality, in front of its target audiences. "It is based on concrete facts that include the economic, tourist and social performance of municipalities, performance in communication through their websites and social networks and also the ability to attract online searches around the world," explains the City Council of Sintra.
