The Iberian Golf Cup 2020 is running until tomorrow, Saturday, 11, at the Salgados Golf Course, in Albufeira, in an initiative by the Luís Figo Foundation and the Iberian Golf Cup to support food banks in Portugal and Spain.
The tournament is part of the «Golfe Solidário» project, an initiative of Luís Figo, together with the Spanish businessman Juan Morales, who intends to “help those who need it most in times of the Covid-19 pandemic”.
In Portugal, it is intended for the Food Emergency Network, a project created specifically to support families in crisis in this pandemic period.
“Golf is characterized by promoting values as important as effort, self-control and discipline, but this initiative aims to add one more: solidarity”, stresses the organization.
The captains of the teams from Portugal and Spain "appeal to individual and corporate generosity, counting on the collaboration of all to magnify this noble cause".
