According to analysts, the console is expected to hit the market between 2020 and 2021.
With PlayStation 4 entering the final stretch of its lifecycle, Sony is already preparing to promote the next console with the opening of new jobs. In one of the last posts on LinkedIn, the company announces that it is looking for a Product Manager to "manage the roadmap of the next generation PlayStation promotion campaign."
IGN explains that the candidate will be "responsible for creating and running the walk" of the company until the launch of PS5.
Although the launch date of this new console is not yet certain, it is clear that Sony is in the preparatory phase. Analysts believe that the new generation of consoles will debut in the market between 2020 and 2021, which would justify this hiring of the Japanese company.
