The Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs said today that small and medium-sized enterprises will have "a victory" with the proposal of the State Budget Government for 2019, as it will end the special payment on account.
Pedro Nuno Santos was speaking to reporters after he had been with Finance Minister Mario Centeno in the Assembly of the Republic in a series of meetings with the parties with parliamentary representation to present the general lines of the proposal of the State Budget Government for 2019.
"This is the Budget that ends with the special payment on account. This is a victory for small and medium-sized enterprises, "said the member of the Government, after having rejected the idea that the economic strategy of the socialist minority government is based on a dualism between people and companies, to the detriment of the latter.
"Let's hear some commentators, who still do not know the Budget, say that the proposal of the Government will have nothing for companies. This criticism is not new and this separation between Portuguese and companies does not exist, "began by reacting Pedro Nuno Santos.
The Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs later countered that "the improvement of family income benefits the companies themselves, which now have a greater demand to sell".
