The Dano's Craft Beer Fair is an excuse to sample artisan beers, as well as witness the launch of a special and exclusive beer from Quinta do Lago. The initiative is scheduled for 7:00 pm, June 21, promising party until 01:00 am.
While not starting the party, the organization leaves us some tips to get the most out of a craft beer festival. Events for which it is advisable to prepare beforehand to ensure a good experience.
1. Be smart, eat before the festival
Make a meal about an hour before the festival. Do not eat too much or too little. The intention is to establish a good foundation for the festival, but give yourself some time to digest the meal – drinking beer on an empty or full stomach can be equally uncomfortable and inadvisable.
Drink water, not beer, before the festival, as you will have many opportunities to taste different beers later. It is important to hydrate (with water) before, during and after.
For each measure of beer you drink, drink the same amount of water. This will not only make you feel better during the festival, but it will also make you feel much more comfortable the next day.
2. Draw a plan and meet the manufacturers
Do your homework in advance about which breweries will be present, which beers will serve, where they will be located and what they want to try. If the brewers themselves (or brewery representatives) are present at the festival, take the opportunity to meet them and ask them about beer.
All beers have a history, and knowing it will not only deepen your understanding about it, but will also make the whole event more enjoyable.
