The city of Tavira will host, between 19 and 21 September, the National Meeting «Inclusion through Art», with the participation of about 100 people with and without disabilities.
This is the first national meeting of its kind, hosted by the Irene Rolo Foundation, which aims to “give visibility to the artistic potential of people with disabilities and make the community aware of the value of equality”.
Throughout the three days, in a spirit of sharing, there will be several workshops in diverse artistic areas, organized by entities working in the area of disability from north to south of the country, and a show that will be part of the Youth Fair, Qualification and Inclusão, an initiative of the municipality of Tavira, open to the public and scheduled for September 20, at 19:00 hours, at Mercado da Ribeira.
This meeting is part of the «Comunicarte» project, promoted under the Wonder Farms Prize, and supported by numerous community partners.
“Art is undoubtedly an excellent tool at the service of social inclusion and equal opportunities, values celebrated in this initiative”, emphasizes the Irene Rolo Foundation, an IPSS based in Tavira.
