Tavira City Council will mark the arrival of spring with a recital of poetry and harp with Vítor de Sousa and Emanuela Nicoli, scheduled for Saturday, 20, at 21:30 hours, with a broadcast on Facebook from the municipality.
The recital by actor Vitor de Sousa and harpist Emanuela Nicoli aims to be “an ode of exaltation to telluric elements, beauty, love and poetry, expressed in the lyricism of this new cycle of renewal”.
Vitor de Sousa finished the Theater course in 1967 at the Theater School of the National Conservatory. He joined several companies and came to television in 1974, going on to comedy later.
He worked with great names in Portuguese culture, including Nicolau Breyner and Herman José, and ended up having a long collaboration on television with him. Manuela Nicoli, a native of Florence (Italy), studied the harp at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory. He attended several courses to improve this musical instrument, having won the National Competition Riviera della Versilla (1997) and the International Competition Rovere d ’Oro (1999).
Currently, he performs in chamber formation and in orchestra. Between 2009 and 2015, he was harpist at the Orquestra do Norte (Amarante-Portugal), collaborated with the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa and the Orquestra Académica Metropolitana de Lisboa and participated in the Angelicus Duo at the invitation of soprano Filipa Lopes.
