The announcement of the return of the Testament to Portugal was made on Friday, at the festival grounds, about two hours before the debut in Portugal of fellow Americans Six Feet Under.
Founded in 1982 in California, still under the Legacy name, which they held until 1986, the Testament are considered to be one of the most important bands in the world thrash metal, a genre they helped create in the 1980s alongside names like Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth or Slayer, the so-called "Big Four" of the genre.
In addition to the Testament, the Vagos Metal Fest organization announced the presence of three other international names in 2020: the Austrian Harakiri for the Sky, the Dutch Asphyx (who were in Portugal in 2017 precisely in a 'warm up' for the Vagos festival) , and Norwegian folk metal band Trollfest.
