The Angolan Academy of Contemporary Dance takes to the stage of the Lethes Theater in Faro this weekend, the 12th and 13th, with the show "The monster is in the scene", choreographed by Clara Guerra Marques and Nuno Guimarães.
““ The monster is on the scene ”is a piece that invites reflection on the human being as protagonist of a world where violence, individualism and intolerance are growing”, says the Angolan company.
“The new capitalist models based on consumerism and conflicts between different ethnic, religious or political groups promote the emergence of new“ walls ”and resignation to the asymmetries between Faust and misery. Gender issues and the condition of inferiority imposed on women are equally the target of this uncomfortable insight into the human condition, ”he adds.
The show will be performed by dancers António Sande, Armando Mavo, Benjamin Curti, Daniel Curti and Samuel, with the special participation of Catarino Rodrigues.
Two sessions are scheduled (Saturday, 12, at 21:30 hours and Sunday, 13, at 16:00), with tickets between 7.5 and 10 euros for the general public. Students / dance students pay 5 euros (mandatory presentation of proof or accompanied by teachers).
