In the continuity of first part of the interview that the Mayor of Loulé, Vítor Aleixo, gave to the diariOnline South Region newspaper, the louletano edil clarified that in order to satisfy an order for gowns and means of protection in a hospital environment at the Centro Hospitalar e Universitário do Algarve (CHUA), “Carnival seamstresses and other volunteers mobilized and made up these facts that were offered in large quantities to Hospital de Faro…” adding that “The Loulé City Council, from a social point of view, it would be difficult to do better, we opened a center for the homeless and we tried to have these people under control in order to guarantee their food, we practically left no segment of the population back…"
As a result of the confinement period, unemployment soared and the economy fell.
