“It was born out of a joke… When the cookie cake came I always said mine was better. They were always saying that just tasting and had not seen anything yet … I promised that one day I would do it and it was now ", explained Jorge Fernandes, president of the Portuguese Judo Federation, to DIÁRIO AS BEIRAS.
Playing, playing, Jorge Fernandes did not stay for dessert and made the meal for the entire Portuguese entourage, last Saturday, during another stage of the national team.
“Due to the results we had at the Europeans, I was challenged to make, in Coimbra, this biscuit cake, and also a Brás cod. We were forty-one people, including athletes, coaches, counting on me and the vice-president… ”, and, apparently, the pit was well served. “Now the athletes who have not been here already want me to do it again for the next week, but now only after the Olympic Games”, jokes Jorge Fernandes.
The promise remains, and this time they can believe the word of the president, since, in the last service, few trusted the culinary skills of the Conimbricense leader. "They were always there in the kitchen making videos and taking pictures, because they didn't believe I was actually making dinner."
