The Shadow of Tomorrow: An Interactive Historical Journey Created by Portuguese - Multimedia

In the year in which 45 years of the controversial Watergate scandal are celebrated, ST Studio, a Portuguese video game producer, made known to the world its first project: The Shadow of Tomorrow: The Secret Files, Developed by Luís Oliveira.

Shadow of Tomorrow is a stealth action game with a strong educational component and no violent confrontation. In it, the player can take a trip through time, completing various missions that make known, in the words of its producer, the impact of "events that cast a shadow for tomorrow, which is still felt today".

According to project page On the Indie.db website, an independent gaming platform, Shadow of Tomorrow takes inspiration from movies and books like Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), The Post (2016) and Voices from Chernobyl (2016), as well as comic strips similar to Far from Sarajevo (2005).

Inspired by the scandal that led to the resignation of US President Richard Nixon, the first mission takes the player, as a robber, to the Watergate Hotel where he will not only have to listen to phones and steal important documents, but also find artifacts from the times that will help you piece together the puzzle pieces that make up the historical panorama of the twentieth century.

Jumping from the 1970s to the 1980s, the next missions take the player to other events that have marked history. They can, for example, participate in rescuing members of the US embassy in Tehran, reliving the moments that led to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, or even helping to tear down the Berlin wall.

Although not yet an official release date, the game is under development for three platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
