Many probably think that Google's smart glasses have "died" long ago, but the truth is they're out there in specific business areas. And now they have a new edition.
They take the name of Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 and have recently been certified by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a step that is not often far from marketing a product in that market.
The information comes a few days after rumors are known about a possible launch of a new model of smart glasses technology giant in 2019, something that may then be related and be valid with this second generation aimed at business.
The specifications found show a design very similar to the previous edition, but reveal very little in addition. It is generally agreed that they have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection and Google is expected to have upgraded some of the components, improving overall performance.
It's worth remembering that in its first generation, Google Glass came up with dual-band Wi-Fi, audible loudspeaker, LED, Intel Atom CPU, 32GB storage, 780 mAh battery and an 8MP camera.
