The "A Ball to Help" initiative, promoted by Portimonense and Teia d'Impulsos, will be repeated for the eighth consecutive year, with the collection of food and goods to support local IPSS.
The products donated by the participants in this initiative with a value of at least 5 euros will be exchanged for a ticket to the Portimonense-Marítimo game, of the 33rd round of the 1st Football League, which will be played on Saturday, 11, at 3:30 pm at the Portimão Stadium.
The aim of the event is to collect food products such as rice, pasta, potatoes, milk, cookies, sugar, flour, sausages, olive oil and oil, as well as personal hygiene and food products for infants and children , namely potatoes, cereals, milk, diapers and wipes.
"Since the year 2012, this initiative is repeated annually with a very positive balance, which results in the collection of several tons of food and other goods that are distributed by local social support institutions," says the organization
The assets raised will be distributed to the users of the Social Refectory of the Social and Parish Center of Our Lady of Amparo in Portimão, the Temporary Shelter Center Catraia in Portimão, the Hospital Nucleus of Support to Children and Young People at Risk – Portimão Unit of the Center University Hospital of the Algarve, the Holy House of Mercy of Alvor and the Red Cross – Delegation of Portimão.
The exchange of tickets for food and hygiene products can begin at the Portimonense Store (Portimão Stadium) until the day of the match, always starting at 10.00 hours.
