The FESTin – the Portuguese Language Traveling Film Festival, which has already been in existence for 10 years, will arrive for the first time in the Algarve with a three-day program between 30 May and 1 June in Faro.
The program includes more than ten feature films and short films in Brazil, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and Mozambique, and also offers moments of discussion and reflection together with some of the actors and directors of the films presented.
The organizing team of the festival also proposes a program dedicated to children on June 1, with the exhibition of 4 small animated films.
The films will be screened at the regional auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ).
The organization also counts on the collaboration of the Municipality of Faro, and the Da Vinci Education Gymnasiums.
The purpose of this film festival is to disseminate and contribute to the development of cinema in the Portuguese-speaking countries, also promoting the discussion of the future of cinema and its contribution as an artistic language for the understanding and practice of human rights, citizenship and social inclusion.
