Two crew members of an ambulance of the Red Cross of Safara and Sobral da Adiça, in the municipality of Moura, died on Tuesday night following a break in EN258 in the same municipality.
The accident resulted in two fatalities and a slight injury, all of them ambulance crew.
The ambulance of the Red Cross delegation of Safara and Sobral da Adiça had been activated by the INU CODU for a pre-hospital emergency medical mission.
On the way to the place, on the road to Santo Aleixo da Restauração, the ambulance, which was manned by three elements, suffered a loss.
According to the INEM, the alert was given at 10:10 pm and the site was called Heli de Évora, VMER de Beja, SIV de Moura and the Volunteer Firefighters of Moura.
The pre-hospital emergency teams still tried to reverse, without result, the cardiorespiratory arrest of two of the crew, two men approximately 50 years old.
The third wounded, a man of 42 years, suffered a chest trauma and was transported by the SIV de Moura to the Hospital of Beja.
