After the October 10 update of Windows 10, version 1809, having given headaches to various users, Microsoft halted its distribution. And there already seems to be a solution for lost files.
October brought users the latest Windows 10 update, but what was to be a secure, stable upgrade was a source of trouble for many people.
Many users have invaded online forums and communities as well as Microsoft's own support page to report various issues with the October 2018 Windows 10 v1809 update, such as the inability to install the update on some systems due to version incompatibility specifications of Intel audio drivers. Some users even reported the disappearance of files, documents and programs.
Microsoft has confirmed on its website that the company is actively investigating the issue and has decided to discontinue the distribution of the Windows 10 system update, advising those who have just downloaded not to install the update, at least for now.
But according to Computerworld quoting the Spiceworks site, the free tool Recuva can help users affected by the loss of documents, programs and files to reverse the situation.
