It was also found that these projects represent a proposed investment of approximately eight hundred thousand euros. The sectors that stand out in the investment typology are those that are among the most representative of the region: citrus fruits, vegetables, roots, tubers and viticulture.

Regarding the measure Small Investments in Transformation and Marketing of Agricultural Products, four requests for support were submitted with a proposed investment of approximately seven hundred and thirty thousand euros, for the wine and pork sectors, in the parishes of Silves, Monchique, Alvor and Rogil.

Eleven applications were also submitted to the measure – Short Chains, essentially to support producers' trips to the markets, to market their products, for a total investment of around one hundred thousand euros.

Thus, these forty-one requests for support are added to the previous ones, continuing the execution of the local development strategy, which currently has 1.3 million commitments, which corresponds to a total investment of 3.2 million euros. "It is now important to proceed with the analysis and contracting of these operations and, at the same time, encourage the realization of investments already contracted, so that the promoters and the territory can benefit from the impact of these investments and support, for the development of the economic activity in the rural territories", underlines the VICENTINA.
