Lagoa and Vila do Bispo receive the news from the 365 Algarve cultural program next weekend, with time travel respectively (A) Arrest me in the Algarve, on Saturday, and the play To Babuja, on Sunday.
On September 5, at 5 pm, you can find the Happy Van in the Municipal Park of Sítio das Fontes-Estômbar, in Lagoa, and leave to learn and revisit the Algarve of yesteryear. We will talk about heritage, customs, traditions and musicalities that have built the cultural identity of the Algarve.
On Saturday, the show (A) Arrest me in the Algarve starts with a staged visit to the respective places, and from there the presentation of the history of the Algarve, its people and its traditions takes place. Time travel is interspersed with songs from the old days and a craft workshop. The following day, on September 6, in Vila do Bispo, the actors André Canário and João de Brito and the musician Igor Martins give body and sound to the play To Babuja, an “Algarve epic, seasoned with the best that the Algarve has. Being with Babuja means a lot and one of them is being on the edge – of the right people ”.
