It is open to the public, at the Vila do Bispo Interpretation Center, the Vila do Bispo Municipality Artists' Exhibition. The exhibition features works by 50 artists from the municipality in the fields of painting, sculpture, photography, contemporary art, linocut, decorative arts and traditional lines and points and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4:30 pm, until July 23 .
In the painting, the works executed by Aidan Bremner, Arlindo Mateus, António Pinheiro, Clive Cook, Élia Sobral Henriques, Janete Alves and Jo Alice Braswell are evident. The sculpture includes works by Arnaldo Mateus, Carlos Figueiras, Tineke Smite, Klaus Stupp, Joaquim dos Reis, Mário Soares, Michael Herrmann, Werner Breidert and Sören Ernst.
The photography shows works by Ana Fernandes, Astrid Walter, Leonardo Marchesi and Rolf Henkel. Paula Curi Garnett, Nuno Araujo, Carla Ramos, Jonathan Neves and Maria Manuela Caneco are the participating artists in the field of contemporary art. Ana Bellande's work can be seen in the linogravure. The decorative arts include the participation of Ana Júlia Loução, Conceição Serafim Sintra, José Estácio, Maria Fernanda Dias, Maria Camila Marreiros, Maria de Fátima Clímaco, Maria de Rosário Mateus, Maria Lucinda Ferro, Maria Paula Correia, Maria Teresa Silvestre, Joaquina Cartaxo , Rita Chinato, Olinda Patinha Prata and Maria Júlia Cintra.
In the traditional lines and points the works are by Ana Paula de Oliveira, Angelina Fragoso, Lisete Marques, Maria Fernanda Mendes, Maria Francisca Rodrigues, Maria Graciete Baptista, Ana Araújo, Maria Júlia Whittle, Maria Rita Guilherme Telo and Ofélia Custódio.
This initiative, promoted by the municipality, «aims to value the people of the land, stimulate artistic creation and promote direct contact between artists who, united by art, share in this exhibition their vision of the world around them», highlights the municipality.
