The Vila Real de Santo António City Council will deliver 80 personal protective equipment for structural and forest firefighting to the VRSA Voluntary Firefighters Humanitarian Association.

The investment has a value of 16,744 euros and aims to provide firefighters with the appropriate means to cope with the critical fire season, as part of the local corporation's integration into the Special Rural Fire Fighting Device.

According to the municipality, the equipment is intended to ensure the protection and maintenance of the physical integrity of the members of the humanitarian association dedicated to the exercise of this activity.

The Special Rural Fire Fighting Device in the Algarve Region is the result of a cooperation protocol promoted by the Algarve Intermunicipal Community, the City Councils, the National Civil Protection Authority and the Algarve Fire Federation.
