The José Arcanjo Stadium in Olhão will host the John Mortimore Trophy in walking football tomorrow with the participation of a team of survivors of prostate cancer.
The competition of walking football, a modality with recent history, destined to people over 50, will serve to pay homage to the old English coach John Mortimore, who in Portugal trained Benfica and Belenenses.
The Benfica Foundation team travel to Olhão to return the East Algarve Walking Football team's visit last year to the Estádio da Luz to play a tournament of this type, popularized by the group of English fans of Olhanense in the Algarve region.
In addition to the Faroese teams and the Benfica Foundation, the tournament will also feature the Danish team FC Prostata, exclusively made up of prostate cancer survivors.
The games take place between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m., in the Estádio José Arcanjo, followed by a lunch with about half a hundred participants in the Benfica House of Olhão.
