Farense coach Sérgio Vieira today considered that the team should score six or eight more points in the First Football League, lost due to their own mistakes and other mistakes that the Algarve does not control, referring to the referees.
“We know that our exhibitions do not reflect our position at all. We could have perfectly six, seven or eight more points, if we add the points that we lost due to small errors or mistakes that we didn’t control ”, said the technician, in the preview of Sunday reception (17:30 hours) to Paços de Ferreira – one week after the defeat with Sporting (1-0), marked by a controversial penalty and much criticized by the Algarve.
On Sunday, at the São Luís Stadium – where they have two consecutive victories since returning to the venue -, Sérgio Vieira wants to make the fans happy during the festive season. "What the people of Faro can expect from this game is that we will interpret it as the most important game of our lives," he said.
"Important for the three points, for being in our home and for being able to make the fans happy and happy in a festive season with different characteristics due to the covid-19", added the coach.
Sérgio Vieira admits that the place in the table (17th and penultimate place, with eight points, but “three points from eighth place”) moves the fans.
"Our focus is only at the end of the championship to look at where we are, but we know that our fans look at the table and that always affects the people who love the club and their emotional state," he said.
For the confrontation with Paços, whose 6th place "mirrors" his merit, the Farense coach expects his players to be "strict, competitive, organized and supportive to defend and creative and daring to attack".
