The Algarve team duo Team Vito Skoda, Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira, competed last Saturday at the Rally da Calheta, on the island of Madeira, as a way of preparing for the next event of the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), the Rally Vinho Madeira. which takes place from 6 to 8 August.
Bearing in mind that the Calheta Rally was the stage of tests for several competitors of the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), who are already thinking about the third event of the season, the Rally Vinho da Madeira, the Algarve pair tested several set-up solutions for the pearl of the Atlantic queen specials, having finished on the lowest step of the podium among the teams competing in CPR.
“We have always been experimenting with things in the car with the Madeira Wine Rally in mind. We didn't even look at the times of direct competition, because we knew that it was very important to constantly change the tuning of our Skoda to understand what worked and what didn’t work in these qualifiers under different conditions. We met the goal at 100 percent and now we are going to perform just a small test before the Madeira Wine Rally, to validate what we discovered in this rally ”, said the national champion in title, who will remember, took the podium in the first two rallies of the season, in Fafe / Felgueiras and Castelo Branco.
Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira traveled to the island of Madeira in order to test as many solutions as possible in the tuning of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, finishing the race in 6th place overall and 3rd place among the teams that intend to compete the entire CPR.
