The 3rd Women's Conference of the CDS-PP / Algarve, held on Friday in Albufeira, brought together militants and supporters of the party in an action on domestic violence that had solidary contours.
The project created by the presidents of the CDS-PP municipalities of Olhão and Loulé, Ana Paula Artur and Isilda Guerreiro, respectively, brought together a group of speakers who addressed the theme of domestic violence.
The lectures of psychologists Ana Miranda and Ana Filipa Augusto, lawyer Cristina Miguel and Lieutenant Colonel Victor Calado allowed a "different view of the usual".
João Rebelo, head of the CDS-PP list for the Faro circle in the forthcoming Legislative elections, was also present.
The event also allowed the fundraising through the contribution of part of the payment of the dinner of the guests, in favor of the Albufeira delegation of CASA – Homeless Help Center, which deals daily with the theme of domestic violence in the area of its intervention .
The association's coordinator, Sónia Pinto, had the opportunity to present CASA's work.
"In this way we hope to have helped to demystify the issue of domestic violence, which is a scourge of our times, and also to help an association that needs so much that until very recently it survived only from voluntary work, because our duty as citizen is helping to create a better society, "CDS-PP said in a statement.
