Writer Miguel Cardoso wins Berlin Scholarship - Showbiz



The poet is a member of the Unipop collective and contributor to Imprópria magazine. Has poems, essays and other texts published in various anthologies and periodicals. Recently translated “Letters against the firmament” by the English poet Sean Bonney (Douda Correria, 2016).

In 2017 she was part of the literary program of the Leipzig Book Fair, where she presented a selection of poems from “Foods” in the translation of Odile Kennel, which this year will be published in Brazil in the “Poesia Portuguesa Hoje” collection, by Macondo editions, together with works by Manuel de Freitas, Tatiana Faia, Mariano Alejandro Ribeiro and Cláudia R. Sampaio.

Started in 2016, the Berlin Literary Residency Scholarship is part of the international outreach program, structured by the Portuguese Embassy in Germany and Camões Berlin, within the framework of the annual external cultural action plan, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.

The fourth edition of this initiative begins on October 15th. Among the public readings is the participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair that begins on October 16 and ends on the 20th of the same month.
