For some years YouTube has been investing in the creation of original content. Wayne and Cobra Kai are just two of the programs that are part of a catalog that is now only available with a monthly payment of 8.49 euros. It is a benefit of YouTube Premium that the company wants to democratize, taking it to all users of the platform.
In the future, YouTube Originals will be free to everyone. The novelty has already been confirmed by Robert Kyncl, CBO of the company.
YouTube Premium subscribers will be able to continue watching programs without interruption of ads, while non-subscribers will have access, but with the interruption of some ads, so that all views are monetized.
"While other companies are doing everything they can to block their content with paid access, we are doing the opposite way by making our content available for free temporarily," said Kyncl during the latest issue of Brandcast, an event annual event organized by YouTube itself for the platform's advertisers.
